A new place, a new beginning for the people of God, separate yourselves

Gen.12

[1] Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee :

[2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
[3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. ( Messiah, Salvation would come from this seed )

[4] So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
[
5] And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran ; ( converted followers to God ) and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
[
6] And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.
[
7] And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.
[8] And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

Lev.20[ 24] But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.[ 25] Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separate d from you as unclean.

Ezra.9[ 1] Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Leaving sin and making a place for God

Gen.13

[1] And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.[ 2] And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.[3 ] And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;[4] Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
וַיִּקְרָא שָׁם אַבְרָם, בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה

thy seed - זַרְעֲךָ

2) a designation of the patriarchs and the Israelites (adjective

Melchizedek king of Salem ( King of Peace, Jerusalem )

Melchizedek - Melchisedec was a priest

Shadow of Messiah's offices, King and a Priest

The "priestly" line of succession in Israel, according to God's Torah, was different from the "kingly" line. The kings were to descend from the tribe of Judah, whereas the priests were to be of the tribe of Levi. The High Priest was selected from the household of Aaron.

Messiah was to be both a King and a High Priest . It would appear impossible for the Messiah to lay claim to both offices, since He would have to be from both the tribes of Judah and Levi the unbelievers say.

However that obstacle is overcome because His, Messiah's priesthood is not of the order of the Levitical priesthood, but of the order of the Melchizedek priesthood, an eternal priesthood!

Psalm 110: [ 1] The LORD said unto my Lord, ( Messiah ) Sit thou at my right hand , until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

[2] The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

[3] Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

[4] The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou ( Messiah ) art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek

[5] The Lord ( Messiah ) at thy (the Father's) right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

[6] He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
[
7] He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

Psalm 2 [ 1] Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
[2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed ( Messiah ), saying,
[
3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
[
4] He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Peter said : Acts.4:[ 25] Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? [26 ] The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Messiah / Christ. [27 ] For of a truth against thy holy child Yeshua / Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,[28 ] For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

back to Psalm 2

[5] Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
[
6] Yet have I set my king מַלְכִּי ( Messiah ) upon my holy hill of Zion.
[
7] I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, ( Messiah ) Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Acts.13[33] God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

Heb.5[5] So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

back to Psalm 2

[8] Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
[9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron ; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
[
10] Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
[
11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
[
12] Kiss the Son, נַשְּׁקוּ־בַר lest he ( Messiah ) be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his ( Messiah ) wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. ( Messiah )

מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק Melchizedek - My King is righteous, King of righteousness

Gen.14[ 18] And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. ( shadow of the body and blood of Messiah ) [19 ] And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: [20 ] And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
